I was thinking today that I have had a really bad attitude about life lately. I need to be happy. So with this thought in mind I write this new post. I am going to be happy. I want to be happy! Being unhappy is no fun, and it makes people not like me. JI have such a good life. I have no reason to complain. I have an amazing family, wonderful friends, a good job, and I have the gospel in my life! How blessed I am! With this in mind I want to quickly quote President Thomas S. Monson from the talk he gave this last conference entitled, Finding Joy in the Journey.
“This is our one and only chance at mortal life—here and now. The longer we live, the greater is our realization that it is brief. Opportunities come, and then they are gone. I believe that among the greatest lessons we are to learn in this short sojourn upon the earth are lessons that help us distinguish between what is important and what is not. I plead with you not to let those most important things pass you by as you plan for that illusive and non-existent future when you will have time to do all that you want to do. Instead, find joy in the journey—now.”
That is my new quote to live by. I am not going to let the most important things pass me by anymore. I’m going to find joy in my own journey. No more letting life pass me by. Its time to start living my life.
